the williamson river takes on the sprague river at chiloquin and flows into the upper klamath lake, supplying the lake with its primary intake of fresh water. the williamson river is about two miles from the property. the river is clear and beautiful, we were standing on the bridge and could easily see the rocks covering the bottom. it is famous with fly-fishermen for trophy-sized trout. boating, fishing, swimming, rafting or just watching the water flow tranquilly by, there is something here for everyone!

the town of chiloquin is just 6 miles away where they have a few shops, a medical clinic, and a volunteer ambulance and fire department. there is also a fire department substation at agency lake. if you are looking for larger city amenities the town of klamath falls is just 25 minutes away, with major stores, a hospital and events ranging from cultural, educational, theater and concerts. it would be an easy commute to work from klamath falls. it is also just a short drive to the kla-mo-ya casino outside of chiloquin!

henzel park boat dock this is the boat launch dock at henzel park. it does get a little windy in the afternoon sometimes. we were here early in the morning on a warm summer day, and it was absolutely perfect. we stopped later and had lunch at the park and watched the birds from the shore.
