The wilderness surrounds you on this large, 4.95~Acre parcel located high on the tableland plateau above the Sprague River Valley.

The property lies within the Nimrod River Subdivision. There are a few full-time residents within this subdivision, but the parcels are largely undeveloped. There is no longer an active HOA. Modular homes are permitted here, be sure and check with Klamath County on the requirements for your plans. The property would need a well and septic if you were to build. Power is within the subdivision, but is quite a distance away. The roads within the subdivision or compacted gravel and dirt. We made it easily without 4X4 when the ground was dry, but we do recommend a high-profile vehicle.

This property would make a great off-grid getaway, campsite or family gathering place to enjoy the outdoor recreation! Klamath County gets plenty of sunshine, and many people here successfully opt for solar or wind power as an alternative.

The nearby Sprague and Williamson Rivers both have excellent trout fishing. The Williamson is a destination river for fly fishing! The nearby Fremont-Winema National Forest encompasses millions of acres with plenty of room to hike, camp, horseback ride, ride your off-road vehicles, mountain bike, or whatever you love to do outdoors! 

Horseback riding is popular here, you can have horses on the property, there are Klamath County regulations on the number of horses per acre. This is a large parcel with plenty of room to play! 

The area has some very unique geological features and incredible landscapes! If you love nature photography, this is an idea location!

The wildlife that surrounds you here includes, deer, elk, antelope, rabbits, racoons, squirrels and many more. Klamath County sits within the Pacific Flyway for Migratory Birds, and depending on the time of year, there are over 300 species of birds that pass through the area including eagles, osprey, geese, ducks, songbirds and even pelicans! We often see Sandhill Cranes up on the plateau. 

It's quiet here, life is a little slower. All you hear are birds, the wind blowing over the plateau, or the sound of an occasional cow or tractor from the family farms down in the valley.

It is only about 6 miles to the town of Sprague River where you can get some supplies, have lunch at the cafe and refuel. It is about 45 miles to Klamath Falls for larger shopping trips. There is also an airport, the Sky Lakes Medical Facility, education at Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) or Klamath Community College, or a night out on the town! There are also museums, music concerts, agricultural, educational, artistic, and cultural events, all the amenities of a larger city.
