This large, 15-acre property sits in the middle of a large tableland plateau in the high desert of Klamath County, Oregon

Although this is a rural property, it is not remote, it is only 5.5 miles to the town of Sprague River for groceries, gas, supplies and the local post office, and only about 45 miles to the city of Klamath Falls.

It is only about 20 miles to Chiloquin at US-97 which spans the length of Oregon and connects the major cities of Central Oregon.

The Sprague River meanders through the valley below the tableland, and is only five miles from the property for summer swimming, floating, fishing and recreation!

This would be a perfect property for a base-camp to explore the nearby wilderness and millions of acres of public land of the Fremont-Winema National Forest. Klamath County is famous for the year-round recreational opportunities!

The property would need a well and septic if you were to build. Power is within the subdivision, but is quite a distance away. The area receives about 300 days of sunshine per year. Many people here successfully opt for solar or wind power as an alternative.

There are full-time residents here who live off-grid. Mobile/ modular homes are allowed in the subdivision.

If you have been dreaming of a place where you could live a quiet lifestyle, perhaps off-grid, with wilderness surrounding you, this may be the perfect spot! With 15 acres there is plenty of room to bring your horses, have a garden or a few chickens!

High up on the plateau, you really get that "Old West" feeling as you stand on the property and the only sounds you hear are the wind gently blowing and the sounds of the birds overhead.

Klamath County is in the Pacific Flyway for Migratory Birds, and over 300 species of birds pass through. It is not uncommon to see eagles, hawks, geese, ducks, swans, cranes, songbirds and even pelicans! There is a spring nearby the property, and we have never been there when there weren't Sandhill Cranes in the grass nearby.

The area is rich with wildlife, we regularly see deer and antelope. In the spring and early summer, the entire landscape is filled with wildflowers! It truly is a unique place!

The subdivision does have a few full-time residents, but it is largely undeveloped. The roads are dirt and gravel, we do recommend a 4wd or at least a high-profile vehicle to reach the property.

If you have off-road vehicles this would be a perfect place to ride, there are miles of roads and wilderness just waiting to be explored!
