Osprey, hawks, and other birds of prey are common; we have even seen pelicans on the lake! The Klamath Basin has the largest congregation of wintering bald eagles in the lower 48 states! Dec-Feb is the best time to come see them.

 

The Wood River Wetlands sit along the north end of the lake and offer outstanding wildlife viewing and walking trails! This area is an outdoor lover’s paradise, centrally located to take advantage of the unlimited outdoor recreation surrounding you! 

Klamath Falls is just an easy 30-minutes away if you want to make a shopping trip, need medical facilities, or are planning to commute to work. If you travel north on HWY 97 the city of Bend, Oregon is about 100 miles away.

The subdivisions at Agency Lake are not heavily populated yet, and with the vast expanses of wilderness that surround you, it really feels like you are out in the country. It is high desert here, and it gets cold in the winters, but the snowfall isn't too heavy, and the area boasts 300 days of sunshine per year

If you do want to get up in the snow to play, the property sits at the foothills of the majestic Cascade Mountain Range, it's just a short drive in the winter months and you could be playing in the snow! The Willamette Pass and Mt. Bachelor offer fantastic downhill skiing and snowboarding. the sprague river flows into the williamson river near the town of chiloquin, which is about a 10 minute drive away. from there it flows into the upper klamath lake. both rivers offer excellent fishing and fly-fishing, bird and wildlife watching, boating, kayaking, canoeing or just watching the water flow peacefully by.
