After you come off the water, head east about a mile and a half  to the Tyee Landing and sit out on the deck and enjoy an amazing burger and a cold drink!

 

The property is accessed directly off Hwy 138 and there is a driveway and road cut in with a gate. Look for our signs and give us a call! The only land between the property and the Umpqua River is the state highway easement, so no one will ever build and obstruct your views of the river!

There is a well and a small pump house, and power is near the property’s edge. There have historically been some small recreational structures on the property, and there are some semi-flat clearings, but you would need to check with Douglas County and the local jurisdictions for your future plans with the property.

 

The parcel is forested with a diverse selection of trees and does not appear to have been logged recently, the trees are large and dense in areas. There is a seasonal creek that flows through the middle of the property through the gentle ravine and into the Umpqua River. There is partial fencing in place along the road easement. This is a must-see to appreciate the incredible beauty, views, and peaceful tranquility of this unique property.

 

Aside from the beauty and possibilities of this incredible property, the world-class fishing, and having the Umpqua River right across the street, the property is also in a central location to take advantage of some of the best Oregon has to offer!

Just 11miles down the road lies the community of Elkton where the byway meets OR 38 and continues another 26 miles west to meet the Pacific Ocean at Reedsport and on to the recreation hub of Florence and Dunes City, but not before passing through some of the most beautiful scenery in Oregon. 

 

There are many places to stop and enjoy the views, including the Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area, Where you are sure to see some of the area's Roosevelt Elk!

 

The Mediterranean climates have helped make Elkton and the Umpqua Valley become one of the premiere wine-producing areas in Oregon and Oregon’s newest viticultural area. There are wineries in the area producing excellent Pinot Noir, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gewurztraminer wines. 

 

 

Traveling 15 miles east from the property, lies the city of Sutherlin along I-5 where you can shop, visit medical facilities, have an evening out, or head out to Cooper Creek Reservoir.

South of Sutherlin is the County Seat of Roseburg with a population of around 25K, and all the amenities you would expect from a larger city, including large hospitals including the VA Medical Center. Continue east, and you reach the spectacular unspoiled wilderness of the Cascade Mountain range.
