This photo is of the Williamson River. We took this photo from the boat launching park just outside of Chiloquin. The Sprague River converges with the Williamson just southwest of town and flows on to Upper Klamath Lake providing it with its primary source of fresh water. Both rivers are famous for outstanding trout fishing!
This photo was taken on a late summer day when some smoke was blowing in from the fires in Northern California, but we wanted to show how well maintained the roads are. They are compacted gravel and very easy to travel. We had no trouble at all accessing the property.
This photo was taken looking up Cloutier Drive from the corner with the property on the left.
This photo was taken at the shoreline at Agency Lake at Henzel Park. Snow-capped Mt. McLaughlin is in the background. Agency Lake is a natural lake, considered to be part of the Upper Klamath Lake, only connected by a narrow channel. It is fed by the Wood River, one of the many rivers in the area. There are many nearby rivers and lakes for fishing, birdwatching, or playing in the water. These fishermen were headed in for the afternoon, the winds had started to pick up across the lake. If you are one of the lucky people to own a home or property here, you could wait for the wind to die down, eat some lunch, and make the mile and a half trip back down to the lake!
This is a perfect place for your new home if you want to be away from the city, be surrounded by wilderness, have unlimited outdoor recreational opportunities, and still live in a community with maintained roads and a few neighbors.
