Very well groomed and maintained packed gravel roads to the property. It was very easy to access this property. It is so close to the main road and the lake shore! We had no trouble at all getting here. The roads to the subdivision are paved, and gravel within the subdivision for easy access.
The Agency Lake area is growing, as people are discovering the area and how much it has to offer! The Oregon Shores 2 is one of the larger, and more desirable subdivisions at the lake. The people that live here year-round are friendly and take pride in their neighborhoods. It's the kind of place where all the neighbors wave when you drive by.

To the east, the volcanic outcroppings and plateaus offer a stark, contrast to the lush, green pasturelands and foothills that surround the lake. It is high desert here, but it does get some snow in the winters.
Fishing, bird and wildlife watching are popular around the lake. Agency Lake is a natural freshwater lake at the northernmost end of Upper Klamath Lake, the surface area is around 9,000 acres. It sits on the Pacific Flyway for migratory birds. It is a popular fishing spot and migratory bird stopover along the Pacific Flyway. In the winter months of November through February, hundreds of bald eagles winter over here. It is the largest congregation of bald eagles in the lower 48 states! The Wood River Wetlands are at the north end of the lake and provide the perfect place to enjoy the birds and wildlife. It's an excellent photography spot as well! Many people take to the water in kayaks and canoes to quietly observe. There are no motor boats allowed on the lake.
More and more people are making the choice to have a more rural lifestyle. New homes are being built here, and many are custom homes. The location of this parcel offers easy access to the subdivision entrance and the main road that leads to the highway. It would be an easy 30-minute commute to the city of Klamath Falls, and you could come back after work to your new home by the lake!

If you are looking for larger city amenities the town of Klamath Falls is just 25 minutes away, with major stores, a hospital and events ranging from cultural, educational, theater and concerts. It would be an easy commute to work from Klamath Falls. It is also just a short drive to the Kla-Mo-Ya Casino outside of Chiloquin!
About 2 miles away, you can get on Hwy 62 and travel about 30 miles to Crater Lake National Park, which is Oregon’s only National Park! Crater Lake is fed from rain and snow melt and is amazingly clear. At 1,949 feet deep, it is the deepest lake in the nation and is absolutely breathtaking! The nearby Cascade Mountains offer unlimited year-round outdoor activities including skiing, snowmobiling and snowboarding at the Willamette Pass or north to Mt. Bachelor in the winter.
Gorgeous wildflowers blanket the foothills around Agency Lake this time of year, after our late spring rains this year, they are spectacular!
