Nearby attractions include many unique geological features including, a two-mile-long hiking trail through a volcanic fissure at Crack-in-the-Ground, Fort Rock, Lost Forest, and the Christmas Valley Sand Dunes!
The property sits in a large valley that is famous for quality hay production and is surrounded by foothills and mountain ranges. The elevation is around 4,800 ft with an arid, high desert climate. It does get cold in the winters, with some snow, but not the rain that the interior valleys of Oregon are famous for.
