Many birds of prey including eagles, osprey, and hawks are seen frequently. Pheasants, quail, and grouse also inhabit the area.

From almost any spot as you look out across the property, the surrounding views are incredible! From views of the birds landing on Devil Lake, the snow-capped Gearhart Mountain and foothills to the north, northwest into the Sprague River Valley, to the meadows, hills, and rangeland of this incredible 640-acre property, the tranquility of the landscape fills your spirit. It is peaceful, serene, and absolutely breathtaking!

The property has a history of ranching that is evident in the old corrals and cattle trails that have become an ingrained part of the land. There is even an old cowboy campsite! The property is partially fenced, and cattle guards are in place on Fishhole Creek Road (USFS Road 3790) which passes through the property for easy access. The road is very well maintained by the US Forest Service. The road is named after Fish Hole Creek which runs on Forest Service land to the west of the property.

The property is currently Zoned F with a property class listed as Recreational Vacant. This zoning allows for many possibilities. With a property of this size, there are many spots that would make gorgeous homesites! It would need a well and septic if you were to build. Power is to the adjoining parcel, although quite a distance away. The area receives about 300 days of sunshine per year, which would be perfect for solar power. Please check with the governing jurisdictions on your plans and permitting process.

Although the property is rural, there are permanent neighbors and family ranches in the area. It is only about 7 miles to the community of Bly, Oregon so it's only a quick trip into town for fuel, groceries, supplies, or a meal and evening out.
