The Klamath basin sits along the Pacific Flyway for migratory birds, and there are  over 300 species of birds that come through, including bald eagles, songbirds and sandhill cranes! Osprey, hawks, and other birds of prey are common; we have even seen pelicans on the lake! The Klamath Basin has the largest congregation of wintering bald eagles in the lower 48 states! Dec-Feb is the best time to come see them.

 

The town of Chiloquin is about 10 minutes away with a few shops, a medical facility, and a volunteer fire and ambulance service. There is also a fire station at Agency Lake.  Klamath Falls is just 30 miles away for larger city amenities including large box stores, the Sky Lakes Medical Center, Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) great restaurants, and events ranging from cultural, artistic, educational, spiritual, concerts, and sporting events.

 

It is also just a short drive north to the Kla-Mo-Ya Casino! It would be an easy commute if you were to drive to Klamath falls to work and come home to your gorgeous new home by the lake!
