In the spring time, especially this past year with our late spring rains, the property and the surrounding plateau are covered in beautiful wildflowers! They yarrow, pictured here lasted all the way into mid-summer, blanketing the plateau in white flowers!
The area is considered high desert, and it does get cold here in the winters, but he summers are warm and mild. In the spring and fall, the mornings are crisp and cool and the afternoons warm up a bit. The air is clean and beautiful here, and the sunsets are spectacular!
In the winter months, there are many nearby places to snowmobile! The elevation here is over 4,000 feet, so the nearby foothills and the Freemont-Winema National Forest offer many opportunities! Snowshoeing and Nordic skiing are also popular here!
The area is in the Pacific Flyway for migratory birds, and over 300 species of birds come through the area! The nearby Upper Klamath Lake has the largest congregation of wintering Bald Eagles in the lower 48 states!
