the area is within the pacific flyway and there are many migratory birds that pass through here, including bald eagles! the klamath basin has the largest congregation of them in the lower 48 states! many times you see them in the winter months, mostly january and february when they are wintering over here.

this was taken a little farther west on the sprague river, more toward chiloquin, which is about 20 miles away. you can easily get on hwy 97 from there and travel south to klamath falls, or north to bend for larger shopping trips, cultural events, concerts, education and medical facilities.
