This is an overhead drone photo of the property. There was a dusting of snow on the ground when we were there.
The area is considered high desert, and is fairly arid. It does get cold in the winters, but the summers are warm and pleasant. It is in the USDA growing zone of 6a (-10 to -5 °F/-23.3 to -20.6 °C), so you may have to cover your early spring garden starts, but it does not receive high snow volume that some of the towns closer to the foot of the mountains get in the winters.
