Klamath County offers unlimited outdoor recreation for all seasons of the year! It is just a short drive to designated trails for OHV, horseback riding or hiking! The National Forest surrounds the subdivision and one side of the property butts up against it. You could bring your horses or off-highway vehicles and have trails just out your backdoor! Be sure and check with the governing agencies for permits and requirements.
The area is surrounded by clear mountain lakes and pristine rivers! The nearby Williamson river is famous for fly fishing! It converges with the Sprague River just south of Chiloquin and flows on to provide the Upper Klamath Lake with its primary source of fresh water. The Klamath basin has the largest congregation of wintering bald eagles in the lower 48 states! People come from all over the country to birdwatch in this unique place.
The mighty Cascade Mountains to the west create a rain shadow so the area in Klamath County doesn't get he rainfall amounts that the interior valleys or Oregon receive. The ski resorts at Mt. Bachelor, the Willamette Pass and Mt. Shasta are just a few hours away, and there are thousands of miles of cross-country skiing, snowshoe and snowmobile trails!
